DO YOU DESERVE TO BE RAPED IF YOU WEAR SKIMPY CLOTHES????

This was from a comment from this Post

I think a woman who dresses with nothing on, is asking to be raped. And I don't think they have a right to bitch if they do get raped. This was a good article. I will have to book mark this.

Shad Catcher, that says it all, g-friend!!!

are you not being a bit harsh. I'm sure that the man was not trying to say they should be raped.

HR, no, I don't think so. Words are one thing and I can ignore that but a mind set and mentality like that can be dangerous.

that has got to be the dumbest statement ever. WTF. So if someone's in a wheelchair they deserve to be pushed into traffic too I suppose.

Babsbitchin said...

the stiltwalker, I've seen that mentality so much but usually in serial killers and sexual predators. That predatory nature is usually about power and control and they get off by trying to own you and teach you a lesson. I'm not saying that the guy who left the comment is a predator but even the most innocent commentary can be misconstrued by those that are impressionable. That is the exact way a mindset is nurtured and that attitude can be handed down for generations, I know as I've seen it. The degredation of women.Hey, g-friend, thanks for stopping by. I appreciate your support as this jumps off!

Miranda, thanks and I mean that. I started out trying to be tactful but kinda got sidetracked with wanting to open a whole o'whoop ass, ha!!! And thanks for your support!!

I don't know what to say...That is a stupid (and dangerous)mindset...Read him!

Babsbitchin said...

jersey, oh yeah I agree. Somebody like that could never act on it but let's say they have a teenage boy in their home and they teach that shit to them. That kid could become a loaded gun. Thanks for backing my play!

this guys fulla shit. Back to his argument, does that mean everyone in skimpy clothes should be raped, what about when your at the beach, swimming pool, builders with their shirts off...etc

Babsbitchin said...

edd.d, I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees this. It sounds a little bit scary to me. A thought process like that is just wrong but he's probably a frustrated fat man who rules his home with an iron fist, keeping his family in check and spewing out judgement. I think he thought he was siding with me. But I was not saying that in my post and I hope to god nobody thought that I was. It's good to hear from ya Bud and have a good one!

There was a news story about what children should do if they were separated from the parents. The news said that the safest thing to do is to go to any woman and ask for help. Go to a woman before you go to a policeman, a priest, a fireman, a guy in a three-piece suit, or a man dressed as Santa. The chances of a child being abducted by a woman are so slight that she is always the safest option. What a sorry state of affairs we live in when all men must be looked at as potential rapists and child molesters, but I'm telling my step-granddaughter to always go to a woman because it's the safest thing to to.

AZCG, I'm glad you dropped by and weighed in. I do value your opinion. I completely agree with you. It's quite the fact that men do not have the same motherly instincts as a woman. Not to say there are not caring men but statistics do prove that men outweigh women in the sexual deviant catagory. And you tell your granddaughter that not all adults can be trusted. Why, do I say this? In our day, we were told to listen and respect all adults, right? That's how kids get in a jam and molested by doing what they're told by an adult. And if she's ever asked to give directions or ie help look for a lost puppy by a stranger, she is to walk in the opposite direction the car is facing. The man is not going to abandon his car but will have to turn around which gives her time to get away and run for help. It's such a sad state of affairs, isn't it AZ?

Good Lord, what is wrong with people? Like you said, a woman should be able to walk through a crowd of men naked and not be assaulted. And I suppose all those little girls who are raped and molested must have been wearing some really provocative clothes, huh? Rape is not about SEX, it's about POWER and CONTROL.

Where the hell is Bubba? I wanna watch. OK, maybe not, but guys like that really piss me off.

Babsbitchin said...

s*, I would watch if I could, just to see the look on their faces; Priceless! You are exactly right when you say it's about power and control and the ones that prey on children, have to, because they're weaker. It is so sad for people to have these misconceptions. But I just love putting things into perspective. And from the looks from my site meter, the fellow that left the comment clicked on the audio. I hope he was able to visualize every word I said. I realize I can be very harsh sometimes. But I'm willing to wear that label if it means getting my point across to the right person. I've since recieved two emails that said I was for all intents and purpose,"Ignorant." I'll wear that ignorant lable like a Dolce Cabana outfit, with Jimmy Choo shoes and a Tiffany diamond bracelet, you damn right. Thanks s*, your opinion matters here!

Thank you, Babs. I too, have been raped three times. I think you were actually kind and patient with that asshole who left the ignorant comment. Personally, I would like to see rapists brought in front of a firing squad. I would truly like to see it. I would spit on their bloody corpses. Okay, I'll be more honest, I would dance in their spilled guts. Now I must remove my blogger name and be anon.

Anonymous, my dear, I know how you feel. And no one can actually say they understand unless it actually happens to them. It can mess you up for years and I'm fortunate that I wasn't actually hurt except for a bit of tearing and rope burns. Some women are not as fortunate. But I do get riled an I do get opionated when I hear a statement that you ask for it.I can't imagine anyone asking to be taken against their will and almost have their soul ripped out, not to mention their sense of dignity and pride. Nope, it's humiliating and dehumanizing. But if their's any justice, I got 2 outa 3 back. You damn right Can't say too much on that. Anonymous I thank you for your forthright comment and hope you may begin to heal. If I can be of any help, you're more than welcome to email me. Thanks and here's a (((HUG))

Babs, I don't feel I need to be anon with you. And I'm getting tired of the level of secrecy I've been keeping in my life around these incidents which were not my fault. I know how you feel about wanting justice. 2 out of 3 ain't bad. I only got one. You mention almost having your soul ripped out. I know that feeling well. Really well. I think my current post might ring a bell with you.

lynn,it's a huge step showing your soft underbelly. But one things for certain, nobody jumps off here sideways and gets away with it, here or on my other blogs. You can take comfort and let your hair down here. I will come visit you this morning. I appreciate your forthright and revealing comment and you must know, I do know how you feel. Here's a huge (((HUG))) and thanks!
